Anna Bay is a picturesqe Port Stephens township located 210 km n-e of Sydney on NSW coast just north of Newcastle. Anna Bay Markets, Gan Gan Rd. (1st Sat each month).

Great local surfing beaches can be found at Biribi Point and One Mile Beach.

 

Nearby:
Another great surfing beach, Samarai Beach, (east) also offers a host of wildlife whilst Stockton Beach (west) has some adventurous 4 and 6 wheel drive tracks along the beach and massive sand dunes. It is also home to the largest shipwreck in Australia. Nelson Bay boating, fishing, swimming and Bottlenose dolphin haven. Whales can also be spotted here May-Oct. Tomaree NP (3 km n-e of Nelson Bay) abundance of pristine beaches (including Samarai Beach with a nude bathing section) native forests and lush heathlands. Excellent bushwalking and fishing.
