Bannister WA 6390
Bannister and North Bannister are small wheatbelt townships on the Albany Hwy. Sitting 131 km and 120 km s-e of Perth respectively, they were named after Capt Thomas Bannister who discovered nearby Bannister River in 1830. The towns are located between the larger centres of Pinjarra, Ranford, Narrogin and Pingelly close to the state’s Golden Outback region.
