Beverley is an attractive heritage township on the Avon River 137 km east of Perth. This important rural service centre, noted for its varied architectural styles, sits on the Great Southern Hwy and is surrounded by rich wheat and wool farms. Beverley is one of WA’s oldest settlements (1838) with the township established some thirty years later. The arrival of the railway (1886) and goldfields water pipeline (1908) helped ensure its future. Aeronautical Museum, Vincent St unique displays, photographs and models that pay tribute to WA’s aviators and aviation history. Dead Finish Museum, Hunt Rd housed within the town’s oldest building (1871) with excellent displays and memorabilia. Open (11am-3pm) Sun (Mar-Nov). Beverley Railway Station (1886) Tudor-style building now housing the Beverley Council Art Collection. Open (11am-2.30pm) Thurs/Fri, (10am-2pm) Sat and (12pm-4pm) Sun. (Closed January).
