Biggenden Qld 4621 (Pop 800) 

Biggenden is a pleasant Fraser Coast hinterland service town 283 km n-w of Brisbane. Known as the ‘Rose of the Burnett’ for its beautiful rose displays in the main street, it is also scenically located just north of the stunning Mount Walsh NP. Biggenden was established in 1880s resulting from nearby gold finds that were short lived. Today agriculture sustains the local economy. The area has a multitude of natural attractions - Mt Walsh NP (over 5 000 ha of rugged landscape, diverse flora & fauna), Mt Woonwoonga, Coalstoun Lakes NP, Coongara Rock.
