Boggabri NSW 2382 (Pop 1 000)
Boggabri is a quiet rural service centre 459 km n-w of Sydney. Although located on the e Namoi River, it is the only Namoi Valley township totally out of flood reach. Its Aboriginal name means ‘place of many creeks’. European squatter settlement began in 1830s and the railway arrived in 1882. Boggabri sits on the Kamilaroi Hwy and is surrouned by cotton, wheat & woo farms.
