Boonah is a pretty SE Qld township located in the Fassifern Valley 86 km s-w of Brisbane. Established in 1880s as a service town, it is surrounded by rich farmlands (cereals, vegetables, beef, timber) and stunning hilly scenery. Boonah also has a number of nearby national parks (Mt French, Main Range) and lakes (Moogerah -pictured-, Maroon) providing excellent bushwalks, camping, flora & fauna and watersports. Markets 2^nd & 4^th Sat. Country Show (May), Orchid Show (Oct).
