Braidwood is a picturesque National Trust historic town in SW NSW 280 km s-w of Sydney. It is an important agricultural service centre with growing tourist numbers attracted by surrounding national parks (Budawang, Monga, Deua), waterfalls, lookouts, caves and diverse flora & fauna. Braidwood, a former goldmining area, is home to many beautifully maintained and restored heritage buildings and boasts an excellent museum.
