Bridgewater is an historic and pretty Adelaide Hills town located 21 km s-w of Adelaide. Settled in 1840s, it was named after the English birthplace of flour mill owner, John Dunn. This charming village has a decidedly English feel to it with many beautiful gardens and its lovely old watermill.

Historic Bridgewater includes Millers Cottage (1860), Bridgewater Mill, Bridgewater Inn, General Store (1877), Old Police Station. Wineries and gardens in profusion.
