Buxton Vic 3711 (Pop 450)
Buxton is a small Yarra Valley region rural settlement 105 km n-e of Melbourne. Established in the 19th century, today it sits on the Maroondah Hwy close to the picturesque Cathedral Range State Park. The area to the south and west of Buxton was devastated during the Black Saturday bushfires of February 2009. The town is also famously home to the Buxton Burger at the local roadhouse.
