Cabramurra is Australia’s highest permanently populated settlement. Located 508 km s-w of Sydney within the Kosciuszko NP, it came into being as a vital Snowy Mts Hydro Electric Authority base in 1940s. Its population comprises SMA employees and winter weather conditions are extreme.
