Charlotte’s Pass NSW
Charlotte’s Pass is both a Snowy Mountains village (1 760 m) and location (1 837 m). As Australia’s highest village it sits just 8 km from Mt Kosciuszko’s summit and 102 km s-w of Cooma. The village provides a convenient base for skiers, snowboarders and tours and the area is contained within the Kosciuszko NP. Both the pass and village were named after the first European woman to climb Mt Kosciuszko, Charlotte Adams in 1881.
