Cocklebiddy is a remote Golden Outback settlement and Nullarbor Plain stopping point. Sitting on the Eyre Hwy 1 159 km east of Perth, it operates on SA time (45 mins ahead of WA) and nearest hamlets are Caiguna (62 km west) and Madura (94 km east).

Great Australian Bight coastlands. Chapel Rock (4 km east) picnic spot. Cocklebiddy Caves (21 km n-w) intricate Nullarbor Plain caving network with some underwater. Twilight Cove (32 km south) 70 m limestone cliffs overlook the Great Australian Bite with 4WD access only. Eyre Bird Observatory (50 km s-e) housed within the old Eyre Telegraph Station (1897) is the Post Office Museum and this unique observatory allowing birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts to explore the Nuytsland Nature Reserve wilderness where over 240 bird species have been recorded.
