Cohuna is a quiet and pretty Murray region service centre 310 km north of Melbourne. Scenically located on the Murray River, the NSW border is less than 10 km away. The fertile irrigated district produces pigs, wool, cattle, timber and a thriving dairy industry. Cohuna is famed as supplying Apollo space mission astronauts from its casein factory. Nearby Gunbower Island is one of Australia’s largest inland islands & internationally recognized wetlands which supports vast numbers of wildlife and birdlife and provides excellent canoeing and bushwalking opportunities.
