Coolah is an historic Central West service centre 360 km n-w of Sydney. Located near the Coolaburragundy River, the surrounding district produces wheat, timber, sheep and cattle. Original inhabitants were the Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi Aborigines and European settlement began in 1840s. Coolah Rodeo (Jan), Biennial Festival (Oct/Nov).
