Coral Bay is an unspoilt Coral Coast holiday resort town located 1 133 km north of Perth. It came to prominence because of its proximity to the fabulous Ningaloo Reef (WA’s equivalent of the Great Barrier Reef) and its beautiful year-round warm water sandy beaches.

Ningaloo Marine Park spans 260 km of coastline from Bundegi Beach (north of Exmouth) to Amherst Point (50 km south of Coral Bay) and includes Cape Range NP’s entire coastline. This unrivalled reef is the world’s closest to a dry landmass and is home to over 500 fish species, 250 species of coral, turtles, manta rays and other marine animals. Between Apr-June, whale sharks and humpback whales visit these waters. Point Cloates (8 km north) a former whaling station and site of a number of reef shipwrecks. 4WD access only.
