Cummins SA 5631

Cummins is a small Eyre Peninsula wheatbelt township 384 km west of Adelaide. It also acts as a rural service centre for the surrounding wheat, cattle and sheep properties and is home to numerous bulk grain silos. Cummins sits on the Tod Hwy and intersection of Bratten Way enroute to Tumby Bay (40 km east). The Cummins Flour Mill remains the last remaining operational flour mill on the Peninsula. Koppio Smith Musuem (31 km s-e) fascinating and unique outdoor museum featuring a blacksmith’s shop (1903), schoolhouse, slab hut ‘Glenleigh’ (1893), restored trackers, farm machinery, Aboriginal artifacts and pioneer furniture. Open (10am-5pm) Tues-Sun. Tod River Reservoir (37 km s-e).
