Dalgety is a charming Snowy Mountains region village 450 km s-w of Sydney. Settled in 1830s, the settlement has several historic buildings including Dalgety House and Catholic Church (1878). Dalgety sits on the Snowy River with the willows and populars along the watercourse turning golden during the autumn months. Dalgety is surrounded by unusual granite outcrops and main industries include cattle, goat and sheep as well as a llama farm.
