Dimboola is a pretty Grampians region township 337 km n-w of Melbourne. It sits on the WimmeraRiver and is surrounded by grain & wool properties. The Wotjobaluk Aborigines were original inhabitants with white settlement arriving in 1850s, many of them Germans from SA. Little Desert NP is nearby featuring over 600 wildflower species, many orchid varieties & diverse wildlife. Wimmera German Festival (Apr), Agricultural Show (Oct).
