Duaringa Qld 4702 (Pop 400)
Duaringa is a Capricorn hinterland rural service centre on the Capricorn Hwy 712 km n-w of Brisbane. It is headquarters of the local shire council and surrounded by the Dawson and Mackenzie Rivers. The area experiences floods, droughts and very high summer temps. Duaringa’s major attraction is its proximity to the Blackdown Tableland NP featuring Aboriginal rock art, bushwalks, waterfalls and rugged cliffs.
