Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (northern part) are very affluent residential areas with large Jewish and South African communities. Most of the suburbs are on or near the water such as Watsons Bay, Vaucluse, Rose Bay, Dover Heights, Point Piper, Double Bay, Bellevue Hill, Woollahra, Edgecliff, Darling Point, Rushcutters Bay and Elizabeth Bay. All are very close to CBD (3-13 km) with medium-high density housing and a wealth of fine dining restaurants, fashionable shops and boutique style accommodation. Further south are the suburbs of Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction, Tamarama, Bronte and Waverley. Many students, young families and singles call these mostly beachside suburbs home whether renting or paying off mortgages. Bondi Junction has a train station, otherwise there are regular bus services. These suburbs are less than 10km from Sydney CBD.
