Esk is gracious historic South East Qld township on the Brisbane Valley Hwy 100 km n-w of the capital. Pastoralists settled the area in 1840s establishing large properties and building elegant homesteads (Caboonbah - 1890, Bellevue - 1893). Esk is surrounded by beautiful scenery in the form of Mt Esk, Ravensbourne NP and a number of lakes (Lake Wivenhoe, Lake Somerset, Atkinson Dam). Market each Sat. Multicultural Festival (July).
