Comments[1] Eucla - Western Australia

Eucla WA 6443 (Pop 40)

Eucla is the Nullarbor Plain’s largest settlement located in WA’s Golden Outback 1 424 km east of Perth. Located just 13 km from the SA border, Eucla was established in 1877 as a telegraphic repeater station. The site was chosen as the only place where boats could moor as the eastern Nullabor cliffs are the world’s longest uninterrupted stretch of cliff face. The jetty ruins can still be seen while many of the town’s original buildings have been buried by sand. Border Dash (Oct/Nov).
