Gooloogong NSW 2805 (Pop 250)
Gooloogong is a Central West village 347 km west of Sydney. The area was established as a cattle station (Gool-a-gong) in 1820s with the village that followed located on the Lachlan River. Subsequent flooding resulted in the settlement being moved to higher ground with ajust an historic church headstone remaining to mark the original site. Gooloogong sits on the Lachlan Valley Way and is surrounded by the towns of Cowra, Canowindra, Forbes and Grenfell and the Nangar & Conimbla NPs.
