Greenbushes is situated 247 km south of Perth in the state's SW corner. This fascinating old mining town boasts WA’s first metal-producing mine (1888) which is still in production. Today Greenbushes is the world’s largest tantalum producer and also relies on its farming timber and tourism industries. Tours of the mine and timber mill available.
