Guyra is a quiet New England service centre 534 km north of Sydney. Sitting at an elevation of 1 320 m, it is the region’s highest town and often experiences winter snowfalls. European settlement in 1830s followed Abaiwan Aboriginal occupation. The local economy is sustained by wool, beef, potato & lamb industries.
