Harrietville is a small Victorian High Country township located 356 km n-e of Melbourne. This former goldmining town was first settled in 1850s with mining and dredging continuing until 1940s. Today Harrietville is better known for its proximity to the Mt Hotham ski fields and many scenic spur tracks in the area.
