Hayman Island is regarded the Whitsundays premier luxury destination. It is quite small (400 ha) and located 25 km north-east of Shute Harbour. Access is either by water taxi from Airlie Beach or direct daily flights to Hamilton Island and then a one hour’s luxury launch trip. There is an 8 km island circuit walk as well as excellent swimming and snorkeling locations such as Blue Pearl Bay.
