Henty is a Riverina rural service town situated 526 km s-w of Sydney. Known as the ‘Home of the Header’ after the local farmer who invented the revolutionary header grain harvester (1914), Henty is also renowned for its bushranger connections in 1860s. Pastoralists arrived in 1866 and the town’s name was proclaimed in 1891.
