Hyden WA 6359 (Pop 440)

Hyden is a rural town located 339 km east of Perth in WA’s Heartland region. Farming began here in 1922 with the railway arriving a decade later. Hyden’s great claim to fame is the amazing Wave Rock nearby.

Wave Rock (4 km east) spectacular ‘wave-like’ rock formation (15 m high x 110 m long) set amongst hundreds of ancient granite outcrops with Hippo’s Yawn, the Humps, the Breakers and Mulka’s Cave (ancient Aboriginal rock paintings) all nearby. Stargate Observatory (8 km east).
