Coolmunda Dam is town's water supply

Inglewood Qld 4387 (Pop 900)

Inglewood is a rural service centre located 266 km s-w of Brisbane. Situated on the Cunningham Hwy between the South East Qld and Outback regions, the nearest larger town is Goondiwindi close to the NSW border. Early pastoralists and graziers settled in 1860s and the railway (1907) helped ensure the town’s future. This former important tobacco growing area has now developed into mixed farming and the township features many attractive Queenslander houses. The Coolmunda Dam nearby provides water for crop irrigation, pastures and also recreational activities (boating, fishing, water skiing).

Accommodation:
Inglewood has a couple of motels, 3 hotels and two caravan parks. Visitor Information Centre: Cnr McLean & Bowen Sts, Goondiwindi. Tel (07) 46781 2653.
