Kiandra NSW 

Kiandra is an historic Snowy Mts ghost town 490 km s-w of Sydney. Located within Kosciuszko NP, it experienced probably Australia’s shortest gold rush (1859-60) culminating in over 20 stores, 14 hotels and about 4 000 people. Kiandra sits just off the Snowy Mts Hwy halfway between Tumut and Cooma.
