Laidley is a flourishing South East Qld township in the Lockyer Valley 83 km west of Brisbane. It is known as the ‘Country Garden of Qld’ for its rich farming district producing fruit, vegetables, dairying and cotton. Settled by pastoralists in 1840s, today Laidley is a quiet settlement having been bypassed by the Warrego Hwy in recent years. Main St market each Fri & Country market last Sat each month. Lakes Dyer and Clarendon both nearby offering fishing, camping and birdwatching. Rodeo (Mar), Heritage Day (Apr), Spring Festival (Sept), Art Exhibition (Oct).
