Manjimup sits in the heart of WA’s South Western region surrounded by towering forests, fruit orchards and market gardens. Situated 299 km south of Perth, this timber town was first settled in 1850s with the railway following in 1911. Nearby: King Jarrah Heritage Trail (3 km west) 650 m forest walk leads to a 600 year old jarrah tree surrounded by stunning spring wildflower displays. Dingup Church & Cemetery (8 km east) beautiful soapstone church (1896) and nearby pioneer cemetery. Diamond Tree Lookout (9 km south) 51 m karri with fire lookout tower built in 1941. Fonty’s Pool (10 km south) popular swimming pool and recreation area. One Tree Bridge (21 km west) displays the 17 m piece of karri tree used to span the Donnelly River in 1904 subsequently destroyed during floods. Nearby Glenoran Pool excellent seasonal trout and marron fishing. The Four Aces (23 km west) row of four gigantic karris (67-79 m) about 250 years old. Lake Muir Lookout & Bird Observatory (55 km east) salt lake boardwalk and bird hide. Wineries include Yanmah Ridge, Herriot, Black George’s.
