Mary River is a spectacular national park located 150 km east of Darwin on the Arnhem Hwy. Amidst the monsoon and paperbark forests and wetlands are found countless species of birds, wildlife and fish. Excellent for bushwalking, fishing and wildlife watching including crocs at Shady Camp. Most roads are unsealed, so the dry season (May–Sept) is the best time to visit.
