Mount Buffalo is a beautiful High Country town within Mount Buffalo NP 342 km n-e of Melbourne. It is one of Australia’s oldest ski destinations dating back to 1920s and an ideal family ski resort with beginners and advanced slopes, cross country trails and toboggan courses. Abseiling, horse riding & hang-gliding are also popular within the park with The Hom being the mountain’s highest peak. The park also has a wealth of plant species (400), waterfalls, escarpments, walking trails (90 km) and huge array of fauna & birdlife. The Centenary Heritage Festival (Mar).
