Mount Hotham is located 400 km n-e of Melbourne within the Bogong NP. 'The Giant’ stands at 1 862 m and provides excellent powder snow and downhill ski slopes. First settled in 1850s, Mount Hotham was named after a governor of the time and skiing began around 1910. he exciting Wildtrek Winter Classic Endurathon is held each July comprising 135 km of cycling, skiing and canoeing. The summer months are popular with bushwalkers exploring the various walking trails particularly the Razorback-Mt Feathertop trek.
