Mundaring WA 6073 (Pop 2 800)
Mundaring has developed into a Perth commuter suburb located just 34 km east of the CBD. Settled in 1880s, the construction of Mundaring Weir (1896-1900) ensured the town’s future with the water supplying wheatbelt towns right across to the Kalgoorlie goldfields. Soon thereafter, the water scheme became a popular recreational area for Perth residents and remains so today. Mundaring Hills Festival (Apr), Perth Hills Wine Show (Sept).
