Nannup is a picturesque timber town in WA’s South Western corner surrounded by magnificent forests and lush green hills. Located 277 km south of Perth, the area was first settled in 1850s by pastoralists with the timber industry potential only being realized in early 1900s. Markets 2nd Sat each month. Music Festival (Feb/Mar), Forest Car Rally (Mar), Flower & Garden Month (Aug), Daffodil Week (Aug/Sept), Rose Festival (Nov).

Nannup Heritage Trail interesting 2.5 km walk around town including the old Police Station (1922) now the Visitors Centre, Templemore (1908). Arboretum, Brockman St (1926). Wineries include Blackwood Wines, Kearney St. Closed Wed.
Nearby:
Richmond River (nearby) excellent trout fishing, swimming, canoeing & camping areas. Condill Park (3 km west) scenic bushwalks and seasonal wildflowers. Barrabup Pool (10 km west) pretty recreational area with swimming, fishing & camping.
