Nerang acts as the gateway to the picturesque Gold Coast hinterland. Located 71 km south east of Brisbane, it was originally a quiet little country town first settled in 1840s. In recent years it has been inundated by population masses from both Brisbane and coastal areas with many housing estates, shopping complexes and highways.
