Northern Suburbs - Sydney NSW

Sydney’s northern suburbs sprawl from Sydney Harbour’s northern edge for over 30 km. Referred to as the North Shore, although only few suburbs have harbour frontage, it is divided into the Lower North Shore (North Sydney-Chatswood) and Upper North Shore (Chatswood-beyond Hornsby). The Lower North Shore includes the trendy harbourside suburbs of Neutral Bay and Mosman and the blended commercial and residential suburbs of St Leonards and Crows Nest. The Upper North Shore is made up of mostly well off middle class residential areas and extensive gardens. There are good train and bus services although only few tourist attractions. Three national parks in the area are Garigal, Ku-ring-gai Chase and Lane Cove.
