Nuriootpa is the Barossa Valley’s main commercial centre situated 72 km n-e of Adelaide. Named after the Aboriginal word meaning ‘meeting place’, Nuriootpa began its life as a slab hut hotel in 1843 and grew from there. The Para River runs through this picturesque historic town surrounded by vineyards.
