Onslow is a Coral Coast service and supply township located 1 388 km north of Perth. Its long interesting history includes early gold discoveries (1890s), submarine refueling base and two bombings during WWII, mainland base for nearby British nuclear experiments (1950s), almost total cyclonic devastation (1963) and today as a offshore gas and oil supply base.
