Parap NT 0820 (Pop about 1 900)

Parap is a mostly residential Darwin suburb 3.5 km north of the CBD. Established in 1912 and followed by Darwin airport (1919), has resulted in many of the suburbs streets bearing names of early Australian aviators. The airport closed in 1945.  Parap’s multi cultural village market is held 8am-2pm every Sat off Parap Rd.
