Port Noarlunga is a pretty Fleurieu Peninsula holiday destination swept up in Adelaide’s southern suburbian sprawl. Located just 32 km south of the capital, this former historic port was first established in 1841 and came to prominence in 1920s. Today fishing and tourism sustain the community.

Nearby:
Old Noarlunga (6 km s-e) has a number of historic buildings including the beautiful James Anglican Church and the SS Phillip. The pretty Onkaparinka River flows through the town which is surrounded by some lovely reserves and parklands. Today, the settlement is mostly a commuter satellite area for Adelaide. Hallett Cove (11 km north) a fashionable southern Adelaide suburb containing Hallett Cove Conservation Park, a 50 ha reserve featuring significant ancient rock formations dating back 280 million years. This picturesque recreational are is also steeped in Aboriginal history with hundreds of artefacts found within the park.
