Quirindi is an attractive Liverpool Ranges service centre located 332 km north of Sydney. Known as the 'Gateway to the North West', it is surrounded by rich pastoral and agricultural lands. Originally occupants were the Kamilaroi Aborigines and white settlers began arriving in 1820s followed by the important addition of the railway (1877). Crops such as wheat, cotton, corn and sorghum sustain the local economy. Quirindi Cup (Feb), Rodeo (Feb), Polo Carnival (Aug).
