Serpentine WA 6125

Serpentine sits just off the South Western Hwy 61 km s-e of Perth. This small rural community shares its name with the spectacular Serpentine NP lying just to the east. The 4 300 ha park sits on the Darling Scarp and protects the famous Serpentine Falls, 70 species of  birds and a variety of native wildlife. Other features include the Serpentine Dam, a major water supply for Perth and the smaller Pipehead Dam. Serpentine also offers the local vintage tractor museum whilst the nearest larger town is Rockingham (32 km west).
