Comments[0] Soldiers Point

Soldiers Point NSW 2317 (Pop 1 100)

Soldiers Point is a scenic Port Stephens community 204 km north of Sydney. Originally called Friendship Point, its current name derives from the soldiers stationed here in 1820s for the purpose of capturing escaped convicts. Soldiers Point sits on Tomaree Peninsula and is a popular holiday spot for those enticed by the excellent swimming, boating and fishing - particularly from its two jetties. The beach is unpatrolled and does not allow dogs or 4WDs.
