Warwick is an attractive and thriving South East Qld town on the Condamine River 160 km s-w of Brisbane. It claims to be the first important inland Queensland settlement having been established in 1849. Today it promotes itself as the ‘Rose and Rodeo City’ due to its history of Warwick Rodeos dating back to 1850s and its abundance of roses, amongst them the City of Warwick Rose. The surrounding district is home to many horse and cattle studs. Rose & Rodeo Festival (Oct).
