Wondai is a pleasant Sunshine Coast hinterland service centre 255 n-w of Brisbane on the Bunya Hwy. Pastoralists and graziers settled the area in 1840s and the town developed around the railway. Main industries are cereal crops, peanuts, dairy and beef cattle. Wondai has an interesting historic museum and nearby Tingoora (5 km south) has an extensive automobile museum.
