Yalgoo WA 6635 (Pop 160)

Yalgoo is a charming Golden Outback heritage township on the Geraldton-Mt Magnet Rd 523 km north of Perth. Alluvial gold discoveries and early settlement occurred in 1890s and the following decade saw dramatic growth and prosperity. Although some fossicking is still carried out, Yalgoo today acts as a service centre for the surrounding sheep farms.
